GNU RCS 5.6

File revision control system in Erling Jacobsen’s QDOS port. One suite with original commands, GNU diff, RCS sources, manuals and licence. Two successive check-ins, exact retrieval of revisions 1.1 and 1.2, and rlog history were verified on the documented WIN1 device. Mount GNU RCS 5.6.img as FLP1: a 1,474,560-byte QL5B HD image (1440 KiB, commonly 1.44 MB). Boot and read README_txt. Use a writable WIN1 host folder with the qdos-like backend for archives. The tested sequence is ci without -l/-u, co -l -p for locking, separate co -p for clean text, edit, ci, then retrieval of both revisions. Enter the same initials each time; press SPACE when the C68 exit prompt appears. After each ci or locking co command has closed and all RCS jobs are finished, use the documented FOP_IN/FLEN check to remove only a zero-length stale lock. Preserve every nonempty temporary. Programs run from FLP1; data and archives use WIN1. Tested environment: sQLux, Minerva 1.98a1, Toolkit II, 640 KiB; cold boot from QL5B HD image and archives on isolated WIN1 qdos-like storage.. Check-in on qdos-fs floppy storage is not qualified: archive rename fails on that backend. ci -l aborts the qdos-like backend at QHSetHeader; ci -u is not qualified. Follow the documented alternative workflow and remove only empty locks after jobs exit. No physical-hardware, other-backend or other-ROM test. Branches, merges, keywords, binary/large files and the full suite are untested. RCS_Source_zip and RCS_Manuals_zip are intact. Original Diff_Source_zip preserves two members with CRC failures, alloca_c and configur; no complete verified rebuild claim.
