TAP · ZIP
Loading
Use the native TS2068 ROM and Timex tape loading. Keep the TAP available until loading ends; the credits and cover include intentional pauses. For TS-Pico use the dedicated package containing TOURMALINE.TAP. Both ZIPs include IT/EN/ES instructions.
At the first credit pause, BREAK (CAPS SHIFT+SPACE) allows LIST and editing. For RUN keep the tape before COVER. After the game starts, use a fresh cold load.
Controls
Q/A: up/down. O/P: left/right. SPACE: skips the introduction, starts the game and plants bombs. At GAME OVER, SPACE continues if credits remain. Bombs can kill the player.
Tests performed
Functional checks in Timex emulation with native ROM, Pico firmware and declared HLE transport services. Both variants: native loading, BREAK/edit/RUN, exact cover and data, menu, game entry, input and native AY. Normal variant: one jewel collected (28→27), five natural deaths, GAME OVER and continue (lives 0→5, credits 3→2), with the helper preserved.
Original sound code and data retained, with AY output adapted to F5/F6; real beeper and AY samples recorded. The 16-interrupt menu sample is approximately 50 Hz, compared against the original Spectrum TAP.
Full campaign, level completion, return to BASIC, native joystick and physical hardware remain unverified. The extended route was tested on the normal variant; Pico retains the same game payload. Measured cadence covers the menu sample, not every scene or full acoustic equivalence.
Original game: RetroSouls Team.
